Chowder House - Fairbanks

We visited this restaurant twice for lunch during our two-day stay in Fairbanks. It's a lovely spot located in a nice neighborhood. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches that you can customize to your liking, including options for bread type, whether to have it toasted or not, half or whole size, as well as fillings, vegetables, and sauces. Additionally, they serve delicious soups and quiches, though they only offer soft drinks. I highly recommend it!

Excellent food plain and straightforward no surprises. We were looking for a good, simple, lunch that was affordable and the Chowder House delivered! I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality meal in Fairbanks. My husband and son each had chowder and mini loaf which they said were excellent. I had a Chef Salad also very good.

The food here is great; my children also really loved this place. They say they want to come back next week. They both gave it a five star review and recommended anyone to definitely come here. We had all of their chowders and their Tomato Florentine soup. Also had a crab salad sandwich.

Chowder house always has delicious food, but I'm blown away by the customer service! They made a mistake with my take out order but when I called they said they'd make my next sandwich free of charge! The woman I spoke with was kind immediately wanted to remedy the problem. Thank you so much, chowder house, for the wonderful food kind service!

Drove down from the mountains to Fairbanks for lunch, had done some research and decided to check out the Chowder House for some Halibut. We ordered 2 Halibut Corn Chowders, salad and French Dip. The chowder was so good. I am enjoying the locally sourced Halibut. The service was a little different you fill out a sheet for your food order then go to counter, also for you bill. Atmosphere inside is fine. Would recommend.
