Café Rouge Exeter

While this lunch time was exceptionally busy with only two employees and there was a waiting time for the service; they worked out their socks and still kept really good service and both very warm and friendly in their approach to customers. Well done for a clear printing lunch service with only two employees. Well done to the two who work today. Food and drinks were also delicious with the afternoon tea and an additional cappuccino and got chocolate between us. Yum!

Nice place, the staff was friendly and apologetic for problems with the menu and music not working. As with many chain restaurants, the menu is quite boring for vegetarians and offers very little choice, the staff offered us friendly another way we could take. One point to note is that you need to specifically ask not to have your chips spiced if you do not like an excess of salt!

Cafe Rouge is an authentic French cafe/restaurant. I love the whole 50th retro feeling. When you get in, it feels like you're in the heart of France. I ordered the Rouge Burger with frits. My friend really enjoyed it, but I didn't like Dijon Senf/mayo. I would have preferred mayonnaise. The beef itself was very delicious. We ordered a bread basket I loved the Chili Hummus who came with him very nice. Drinks are cheap - we shared a bottle of rose to £25. We google the exact wine because I enjoyed it so much and I managed to get one for under £5!

A lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. It really does have a French ambience. The food was delicious, French onion soup, followed by Moules. The only negative for me was the price of the wine. I dare say that that the quality was good, but was beyond my lunchtime treat budget. The beer was nice though.

Had a Groupon deal for our meal, staff were very friendly and explained what was part of the offer. I wore hoop earrings and somehow managed to loose it. Went back to the restaurant thinking I definitely had it there. And after explaining where I sat before they helped me find it. Great place, I would definitely go again
