Oishi Japan - Ewing

The food at this restaurant is excellent. As a regular customer, I highly recommend it, especially for locals or those working nearby. I usually go for the lunch bento, which comes with a main dish, a small appetizer, sushi, rice, and soup, depending on what you choose. The prices are quite reasonable for a Japanese restaurant. If you haven't visited yet, I encourage you to give it a try.

The food here ranges from decent to quite good (3.5 to 4 stars), depending on what you choose. Like many others, I've had my share of customer service issues in the past. I still occasionally get takeout for their fried rice and tempura because it’s among the best in the area, but I used to order more frequently until I had a negative experience with one of their employees over the phone. Having been a patron for a while, I suspect there may be more than one problem employee. However, when I've dined in the restaurant, I haven’t encountered any issues. If I were to find a place with better food, I wouldn’t return, but unfortunately, the Ewing area doesn’t offer many good options for Chinese or Japanese cuisine.

I've been experiencing a lot of issues with my orders from this restaurant. They are often either completely incorrect or the food is quite old. There’s nothing worse than receiving an avocado roll with brown, slimy avocado.

This is one of my favorite places for sushi.....very fresh tasting.
