Docas - Évora

We were looking for a non tourist menu, and Docas was recommended by our tour guide. We were warmly welcomed by Ines, who explained the menu in beautiful English. Dogfish soup was rich and flavorful; bread stew tasty! Enjoyed a bottle of wine that Ines selected based upon our tastes.

What an awesome find, an oasis on a brutal hot day. Ordered starters in lieu of a meal amd were not disappointed. A great breeze kept us cool outdoors and the beer on tap was ooomg delish! We had the octopus salad, linguisa, codfish cakes and snails... along with olives, bread and sliced meat. Or was perfect. Highly recommend. They speak English and Spanish and Portuguese....

Four of us ate here 2 nights running, We can't say enough good things about the food or the service. The food was good, staff very friendly, especially Ines who was extremely friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend and will return in the future.

A comida estava muito deliciosa, comi o salmão e foi de MORRER! O vinho verde também estava uma delícia!
