Steak 'n Shake - Evansville

I haven't been with a Steak 'n Shake since I was at least 5 years old (now 18 years old) and it was just as I remembered. The burger was delicious, the Shake was sweating and had the perfect mix of milk and ice to give him the perfect thickness, and although the people who ran the food were obvious and hard among the staff, they were happy and ready to make sure our lunch was perfect. Overall, I can say without a doubt it was one if not the best lunch I ever had. Not to mention the reasonable prices and incredible atmosphere, I will definitely return again!

The food is usually quite good, but they are usually shorthanded and for all the years I have eaten there. Not sure whether there is a problem with management or just the nature of fast food wages, but the waiters are usually friendly and do what they can... If you are looking for a delicious meal for cheap, are not in a hurry, and do not need to check your waitress every 2 minutes... it is worth a visit. Just try to understand if the service is not so big while you visit.

The place was clean, but begins to show his age. I ordered the Prime Steak Burger on Brioche bread with cheese frits. The first order of the fries I had come back had a hair in it and I had to send it back, that could happen everywhere. My wife ordered a kind of chili Supreme that is chili with spaghetti and meat sauce. The meat sauce tasted more like Louisiana hot sauce torn down a little in fat, it wasn't really good. The Hamburger I had was pretty good, but I had better, the waitress was friendly and nice, attentive. I give him three stars from five.

Eating and shaking were delicious and waitress was great. I had a togo order and the waitress made sure it was done until the end of the meal. Only the problem is that it took forever to get our food. Odd that the Togo order was so fast, but our regular meals took forever. I suggest driving through or togo commands to get the feeling they prioritize that about people sitting inside. We had about 7 in our group, but people who came after us went before we even got our food. I guess that's how they prioritize smaller groups.

Me and my S.O. had visited the restaurant around 1pm well into what is seen as lunch. A simple order of a double burger and fries, not only did it take a long time to get as we sat in the drive thru but when we finally got the food the fries were cold to the touch. Her burger was apparently fine though. I can tolerate the timing issue in the case they were fresh coming everything but half the order was cold and that's just messed up.
