Dang Good Smokehouse -b-que - Evanston

As a BBQ enthusiast with 12 years of smoking experience, I can confidently say that Dang Good Smokehouse and BBQ ranks at the very top of my list for the best BBQ restaurant I've ever visited. My wife and I tried the three-meat sample plate, choosing pulled pork, brisket, and adding ribs on top. The pulled pork was absolutely incredible—words can't do it justice. In fact, everything we tasted was exceptional. I must mention the jalapeño beans; they are made from scratch and are like nothing I've ever had before. After our meal, we even took a moment to speak with the pitmaster to express how much we enjoyed the food—it truly made our weekend. My initial reaction was to say I loved it! We're already planning a trip back to Evanston from Salt Lake just to experience it again. Thank you, Dang Good BBQ. We'll be sure to spread the word!

Despite a minor issue, everything turned out wonderfully! The hiccup was handled professionally and resolved quickly. The food was exceptional! I highly recommend trying the pulled pork baked potatoes, and don't forget to add some sauce!

My friend and I ordered the brisket and pork, along with beans, potato salad, and coleslaw. Everything was fantastic—some of the best pork and brisket we've ever tasted! To top it off, when they learned we were on a three-week camping road trip, they surprised us with two generous plates of brisket sandwiches and jambalaya to take with us! Both dishes were incredible, and the staff were some of the nicest people we've encountered in a long time. If you find yourself in Evanston, this place is a must-visit!

Thank you for the most amazing wedding ever. The food was amazing!!! (The green beans were the best) and the place looked so beautiful! I can't get over what a great job you decorate and not mention how you saved so much work over all of us and allows us to spend so much more time with our host family.

Returning from San Fran we came across Dang good smokehouse purely by chance. It was the best chance meeting of our lives. We all ordered the 2 meats, 3 sides and additional ribs. The food was phenomenal. Homemade and tasted great. Mother and daughter run business with the mother making the food out back fresh. By far the best BBQ I and my friends have ever tasted. This place needs to experienced by all. We will be back next year on our annual San Francisco work road trip!!!
