Melvin Brewing Alpine Brewery - Eureka

I've been back several times. Always really good. If you're a fan of funky beers, they have many to choose from. I'm not a big IPA fan but I really like their sour beers, and their saisons. My favorite right now is Winston (farmhouse saison). Vibeis really cool too.

Staff was sweet and freindly. It was clean and the beer was great! My husband had the prime rib sandwich said it was just good needed more meat and the fries were kinda sad just ok didnt give very many. My fish tacoes were dry, needed more salt and likea squeeze of lime or citrus and the shells tasted like they were just taken right out of the bag and werent even heated up orslightly toasted on the grill. Also it was supposed to be Mahi Mahi and that tasted more like Talapia- slightly fishy. Mahi isasweet plump very ckean tasting fish. That was not. It was just ok

The staff was very nice, but both my wife and my food were sort of bland. I got thai chicken and she got fish tacos. Neither were gross, they just didn't have a lot of flavor going on and were just sort of boring. My chicken was also pretty dry like itwas over cooked, to the point of being kind of hard to cut into smaller pieces. For the price and portion size it definitelywasn't worth it.. plenty of other places around would have been cheaper, and we would have had enough left overs for anothermeal. We tried 3 different beers and they were again decent, but not as good as other breweries I've been to, plenty of bottledbeers from the grocery store are better TBH. Overall it wasn't terrible. It just wasn't good enough to make me want to go back,especially with the price points.

So glad we stopped here on our weekend trip. Huge beer selection and every beer I've had so far (flight, pint, and to-go) has been ranged from good to amazing. Was a little confusing on the menu what beer was in cans to-go but someone at bar helped meout. Also a great selection of food (ranging from pub food to Thai; which I've never seen in a brewpub before) and everythingordered at our table was super tasty. It was so good my wife (who doesn't drink beer) was tempted to come back the day after totry something else on the menu. Can't wait to come back whenever I'm in the area!

Great food, friendly waitress and hostess. There was a wait to get a table but there are fun games like Cornhole, Pool, and several arcade games too make the time go buy fast.
