Operation friendly and very competent from the boss, furnishings pleasant, drinks and food came very quickly. The card is small but good and offers good compilations. For quality, I would also wait a little longer if the place is fully occupied. Very recommended.
Good food. Our table stood in half dark.3 different bulbs in a lamp, from bright to barely perceptible. The staff is dedicated to friendliness,but totally overwhelmed and unplanned. The drinks came fast, but they weren't correctly turned off and not asked who gets what. The food itself was not brought at the same time as the first dishes were already lukewarm before we could start together. The plates were also set off without plan. Empty and excess glasses were not cleared from the table,so that it went very cramped. The food itself was ok, but it lacked sauces and the supplements were almost the same at every dish. It also seemed somewhat sweet. In this price class I expect at least some decoration like rosemary branches or similar. The dishes themselves had seen better days. Cut edges and cut corners. Whether the filet has been set up precisely, I'll leave it to everyone. Mine was in any case too fried and seemed slightly dry. On the other hand, the Spätzle were excellent and not too greasy. The desserts and the espresso, cappuccino were gradually brought to the top. The prices and the choices are totally utopian for this place and this ambience, almost a freak. 33.5 € for a beef fillet without salad and little to no garnish that seeks its same. Therefore, unfortunately only to be highly recommended.
Wonderful, fresh, good bourgeois cuisine in a rustic half-timbered house of the baroque Ettenheim old town. Very friendly service and many current daily meals with a clear menu that speaks for freshness and quality. At any time, from the calfs Cordon bleu to the calfsrückensteak to the lambslachsen, everything is first-class!
After a long illness, the lion opened again and as usual Bernhard conjured a delicious menu on the table.
