The Wokker Restaurant - Etobicoke

We have been ordering our weekly take-out meal from this restaurant for years. The food used to be excellent, with plenty of leftovers for the next day. However, we have noticed a decrease in quality and taste over the past few months. Despite trying to support our favorite local businesses during these challenging times, last night's meal will be our final one from here. The sauces were not good, the vegetables were undercooked, and even my favorite appetizer, the chicken siu mai, tasted strange and overly smoky. It seems like there are new owners now, and unfortunately, they do not have the same magic touch as the previous ones.

The food at this restaurant is delicious. I have ordered takeout twice during the pandemic and overall I am satisfied. My favorite dishes include crispy beef, KP beef, veggie Cantonese chow mein, wonton soup, and salty jumbo shrimp. However, I did not enjoy the crispy duck and chicken balls.

We found that Skip was less expensive than Uber for this meal. The food arrived quickly, but it wasn't as hot as we would have liked. We enjoyed the Chicken Balls, which had a nice chunk of meat inside. The Crispy Beef was a hit, and the Chicken Chop Suey was good with fresh, crispy bean sprouts. The Singapore Noodles were also delicious, with just the right amount of spice - although you can ask for more if you like. Both the beef fried rice and egg fried rice were excellent. I am picky about my rice, so I was pleased with the quality. You can also add more spice to the rice if you prefer. I usually find large orders of Chinese food to be expensive, but considering the amount we ate and the leftovers we had, it was worth the price. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

Wokker delivered to our Toronto airport hotel, fast, polite driver and excellent food! The shrimp fried rice was great, but the beef Szechuan made me want to ask for the recipe!!!

We were staying at the Hampton Inn on Eglinton and as we arrived late we asked the lovely lady at check in for recommendations for take out food to be delivered to the hotel. She and the shuttle bus driver said the Wokker at the same time. From time of order to room delivery was under 15 minutes! Food was piping hot and very delicious egg rolls excellent and the Singapore noodles with chicken and shrimp stir fry were out of this world. We would highly recommend this take away/delivery
