El Nido - Estero

Good food. Slow service. A bit over-priced for what you get.

This was our first visit, and it wasn’t quite what we expected. The menu was fairly limited, and the food was average; some dishes were lacking, and we had to pay extra for chips and salsa. However, they did move us to a better table, which improved our experience. The ambiance and layout were pleasant, but overall, it felt a bit pricey for what we received. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning anytime soon.

The experience was decent overall. The chips were a bit stale, and the chicken tacos could have been warmer and were overly salty. Unfortunately, the server never refilled my water. However, the salsa was actually quite tasty.

Overall, good. Good was very good. A little expensive vs. their competition. Had to pay for chips and salsa, that was annoying, a first in a Mexican restaurant. Claimed to be modern Mexican, but didn’t seem to be much different (which is not so bad).

The restaurant itself is so colorful and pleasant, looking and a nice atmosphere, but the food did not match any to the three of us were highly disappointed in their meals. The service was OK and the food did not necessarily match the menu description. But it’s a beautiful looking place. The bar was cute.
