Junction - Essex

We stayed at Essex Resort Spa for our anniversary weekend and booked dinner at Junction as it was promoted as an interactive restaurant. We had called and asked if it would be possible to postpone our reservation by half an hour that they could not accept. We understood, but then we were surprised when we arrived and there was only another table of guests in the restaurant. I suppose they suffer from a lack of personnel, but it was a little strange. Regardless, the menu had some nice choices, and we landed on the Tomahawk for 2. All night we expected the interactive aspect of this restaurant experience, but that never happened. It was just a typical culinary experience where they did a great job, but it was just a small estate when it was advertised as something else, especially considering that this was our anniversary dinner and I wanted to make it special. Maybe it's more interactive, but because of COVID it's not? The kitchen was open and you could see the cook, but unfortunately we did not sit close enough to really watch them. We were very happy with the food, so the 4 stars, and I guess there is a Yelp check-in offer available. It was a nice option to stay in the Essex, but I think if she hadn't marketed it as something more than it was, I would have been happier with my experience.

Excellent food and quirky decor. Hotel Posh on beautiful grounds. There is a tavern next door that should have superior pub food; is looking forward to trying. In warmer months, they have outside seats that I think would be nice. Overall a tasty, chic (price), place with interesting decor. There are places in the city center Church that I probably have for upscale restaurants about that as it is out of the way for us, but if you stay or live in the area, I think it is a treat to try.

Amazing selection of designs for beer! Great cocktail also lost. Great meal and service. Braised short rib was delicious. Very recommended.

Cooking seats were amazing. He cooked the Tomahawk Steak perfectly. I highly recommend this place!

The Junction hosted our rehearsal dinner. The food and drinks were great. My guests had an incredible time. Can't say enough about the awesome staff.
