Black Seal Seafood Grille - Essex

We’ve been here dozens of times over 30 years.We just returned from out of state back to CT and live west of Hartford now, but have tripped back down to Essex twice lately.Both times we ended up eating at Black Seal.Both times we had a great lunch.My wife had the Cheese Quesadilla and I had their burger.Awesome grilled flavor.Service is great and the restaurant has a great atmosphere.

Great lunch and dinner experiences. Will certainly return to this cute Essex staple.

Atmosphere and people were awesome. My family’s food was good but the burgers outside was burnt enough that i couldn’t taste anything else. I would come back for another

Parking: Parking on the street is crowded due to the amount of other stores nearby. Parking is almost always full or nearly full. Limited amount of spaces available.

All time Essex favorite pub! Good sandwiches and seafood! Friendly, easy parking on street.
