La Cocina New Mexican - Española

GREAT place! We stumbled upon this driving back home to Texas from Colorado- very impressed!!!! You’ll want to stop!!!! Service was perfect, ALL the food was very very good (we got a variety from shrimp to enchiladas to flautas! Big parking lot (we were pulling a trailer . ALSO they have a small espresso/coffee shop inside….Incredibly good!!!

Food was great and the service did not disappoint. About 20 of us and the wait was not that long for our food to come out.

My friend and I had an hour to kill in Española so we decided to try this place for a quick bite. The restaurant was very busy, but it seemed like they had enough to operate efficiently. They had a signed posted that the restaurant is continuing to struggle with staffing in a post pandemic world. We just had a cup of green chile stew each, and it was amazing. It was very hot and tasty and we received a couple of sopapillas and they were great. As soon as the server brought the stew, I handed him my credit card and told him we were in a hurry. He took nearly 10 minutes to come back with my card, and that almost put us in a time crunch. It all worked out, and I'll try this place again when I have more time. The food definitely seems worth the effort.

Great location. Plenty of parking. Very nice ambiance. Very good menu options. Large, tasty salads. As always, chips and salsa. Salsa is a bit spicy, but for people who enjoy spicy, it's just right. Excellent servers and other staff. Vegetarian and light options. Great from kids.

Best breakfast burrito in town and a great deal at $5!!! Can’t beat it with the fresh tortillas and ingredients!! Love love love La Cocina for my Breakfast commuter burrito!! Great job
