Bidrage med feedbackSuper friendly waiter/Koch had snapper grilled in bananenblatt very authentic and fresh great table with view of the sea
My man and I thought here was a look and felt like we were brought to the French riviera or Greek. it had only the feeling, on a cliff with a view of the sea, with the waves that crashed against the rocks. he went out. to snorkel so that I have settled there (only one on a small table on the deck with a view of the ozean. it was so quiet, with soft jazz in the background. the owner served me a beautiful glass pinot Greek while I gave the rest. I ordered jumbo garnels that were packaged in speck over a kicherbse. I was not sure what to expect, but it was very rich and so full of taste. I really enjoyed it and the ambiente of the eclectic design of the restaurant, its use of antiques and its rustic feeling. it's a bit pricier spot, but I really felt it worth the serenity I felt. I would return to bring friends to this charming place and allow them to hopefully wake me up with more of their menu.
My wife and I ate here last week while on vacation in Tulum. We arrived about and there was no one in the whole place and it was extremely dark. Our seat looked out over the ocean bay and was really beautiful. They only...take cash so be prepared. Our meal and drinks came to about so not cheap. The owner and chef came out and spoke with us. We ended up splitting a seafood pasta dish that was really good. I also did a shot of mescal with him and he had a very interesting story to tell. As we were leaving, he was on his laptop with his shirt off smoking a joint. Only in Tulum. lol.
The view is very nice the service is very poor and the food is so poor that I could not believe it I could count the spaghettis in my plate decorated with empty clam shells in order to fill it up it is a shame...a total rip-off a total tourist trap I was absolutely deceived when I told the waiter about the absentee food in my plate the answer was ' I did study in the best restaurant in the world and you are paying for the view as well ' also forget about paying with your credit card the machine is broken as most restaurants on the beach in Tulum merchants do not want to pay for the cc fee they want you to use the ATM machines that are abundant in Tulum remember is you are being scammed in MEXICO use the world PROFECO then every thing will smooth out and merchants will stop trying to rip you off PROFECO is a government agency that look over for tourists being rip-off
The restaurant and the kitchen are tiny, standing next to the beach at the back of a small hotel (unrelatively, the tulumbay Eco-Beach). I was the only customer on the day before thanksgiving after I had decided to take the cook-suck menu after watching it. cooking all day- and it was also a good price (approximately a dark and airy dining corner, with the sea booms in the background and an old bottle casa madero (a classic Mexican weingut) to handle, and a young Italian waiter who knew that the menu back to the front. what a fantastic mea! mostly made from local seafood and collected with Mexican spices and crumbs from the beach. the use of the cervicals of oja santo, pampalo and cress were particularly large. everything was remarkable, but the fried otopus on a bed of seacutters was brilliant, like my favourite dish - a lobster pasta with a maul-shot instead of tinted fish for a sauce. more believing with oja santo, and garnel with a hot jalapeno mash, scallops with creams and red peppers...the joys kept on coming. So, seriously, I eat at many restaurants at different places all over the world, not at the exorbitant, but at which you pay a lot of money and that was one of the best dinners I ever had in a restaurant. I don't know if the cook can do this every night, or if it's a good place to lunch or breakfast, but this one meal was great.
