The service was prompt and cheerful, despite the bustling crowd on a Saturday afternoon. The mac and cheese and fried green tomatoes were just what you’d hope for from this type of restaurant. The country fried steak offered a classic experience. However, the Reuben sandwich was just average, and the fries were fairly ordinary.

I stopped by for breakfast before heading to the car show in North Carolina. The food was good, and the service was nice.

The food here is incredibly delicious! While I found it to be a bit on the pricey side, I will certainly be coming back for another meal.

Always enjoy their cheeseburger and fries. Sorry they are selling! Understand retirement and hope the next owners do as well!

Breakfast is as good as it gets at Clarence's. Service is very good. The dining room is acceptably clean. I've only had lunch here once. I DO NOT recommend the country fried steak (which came with brown gravy? or the fried green tomatoes . Neither one was any good.
