Chinesisches Shifang-pavillon - Erfurt

Very rare to be find within Thueringen , an excellent restaurant. All foods here are made by real Chinese cookers not the fake Vietnam's food! 本州内少见的中国人开的中餐馆，食物原料，做法居然都是正确的，大赞呀，绝对对不是打着china名号的越南菜，赞赞赞。

Looks nice on the outside. We were there at 19:45 and more than half the buffet dishes were empty. When asked if they will be refilled we were told of course. Nothing happened. We paid the full price for soe oily fried snacks and rice there was no sushi, no main courses, no vegetables and no desserts except tinned fruit salad, some pieces of melon and readymade icecream. Would not recommend this. This money is better spent elsewhere.

The restaurant has a very central location close to the central station. Staff is friendly. The menu has the typical dishes one would expect from a Chinese restaurant, they seem to be focused on their buffet offering. The dishes are mid-priced, quality is ok, but it didn't really excited me... The hot-sour soup was pretty spicy (I like spicy and reminded a bit of east-german Soljaka soup, not what one would expect it to taste. The duck with peanut sauce, mixed veggies and noodles came out with the sauce separately (which is good, because the duck stays crisp . However, the veggies and noodles where pretty much tasteless. The peanut sauce was good, but way too hot (almost as hot like re-heated in the microwave... . Overall, ok for quick food stop, if hungry, but nothing special that would make me think of a trip back...
