Bidrage med feedbackThe enjoyment of our meal was completely disrupted by patrons standing at the bar vaping. We were forced to leave before finishing our meal due to my elderly father's asthma being aggravated by the noxious smell and fumes. The staff were pleasant and the food was tasty. However, the overpowering scent from the vaping customers, who were openly smoking at the bar, was a major drawback.
We made a quick stop at this restaurant for dinner while visiting Derby. We arrived at 8.20pm, with the kitchen closing at 10pm. Initially, we were informed that we might not be able to order due to a back-up in the kitchen. However, they were able to accommodate us for two burgers. The food was tasty, but the ambiance was lacking. It had more of a local pub feel. The bartender was helpful during our visit.
An impressive influx of people at Breakfast club my colleague even set the flippin tone at 10am! Well what can I say, yet another steady breakfast, a little more pricey than the young vanish but nevertheless just as tasty! I went old school with a sausage and bacon bap which was delicious! There was a few full English which is a set menu by the way! If an establishment lets you have a beer with your brekky then that’s automatically bonus points ain’t that right JH! We had a great view of the tele which we watched the first half of some boring St mirren game. This breakfast sorted us out nicely in preparation for our important match and even more important big night out! Kudos to Mary and the gang!
Always enjoyable to visit this pub the staff are all usually very pleasant and helpful The menu is very limited but what is available is usually pretty good. The ales and lagers are kept well with guest ales to try there is a large outdoor area to enjoy
Thanks to Yvonne and Audra for being so attentive, helpful and kind when we came in for lunch. Between them they tweaked the menu for me because of special dietary requirements and didn't once make me feel like a nuisance for being so fussy! The food was beautifully cooked by Audra and all four of us were more than happy with the service. The Windmill's got a lovely atmosphere, it's a proper pub not just an eatery that sells alcohol. But it is only a small place so if you're eating it's always best to book in advance. Plenty of parking, friendly and welcoming staff, good food and great variety of drinks........what more do you need
