The Haven - Epping

What a great place to eat! I grew up in Epping and The Haven is an institution. I've been here a long time and there's a reason. The food is very good and the ice cream is incredible. The Peanut Butter Pie in a waffle cone is by far my favorite. If you ask yourself, they serve Pepsi products. No Coca Cola. And they have a very friendly and good looking staff. That's important! God bless everyone there and I hope for many more years of the Haven.

Usually I get a decent amount of ice-cream for what I pay. But Sunday, June 24th, I ordered a small and got this tiny scoop. I was charged over four dollars for it. What a rip off. It tasted good, but, I was over charged. I could have gone to the store and bought a half gallon for less. I will not go back. I was polite to staff while ordering. Staff was friendly. I was in a hurry so I didn't go and complain. Update: May 2020; Much better portion! I had the Sea Salt Caramel Truffle with a sugar cone and it was delicious. Service was a little slow, but, finding people is tough for a lot of businesses. The Haven offers cooked food as well. You can use a credit/debit card. Two stars for a better experience.

We decided to grab some ice cream on Mother’s Day at the last minute without realizing they were just a minute away. To our delight, we were welcomed with warm smiles that invited us to the window to place our order. We were amazed! After enjoying five sundaes, we settled at a lovely table outside, where we watched the ducks in their pond. I’m so grateful that this place is truly unique. They accommodated us without hesitation, even though we arrived at the last minute. I’m incredibly impressed by their service, and the ice cream was fantastic! Thank you for being different and not turning us away just because we lost track of time. We appreciate your welcoming smiles and wonderful service! We will definitely be back!

Always a fantastic choice for simple, fast food featuring classic favorites. It's a wonderful spot for a casual meal. The owners, a lovely local couple, are looking for help! (Spring 2021) The kids absolutely adore the ducks. Thank you, Haven!

The dining experience is quite pleasant; we expected some burgers, hot dogs, and ice cream, along with the opportunity to feed the ducks. I've visited a few times, but I haven't tried the seafood yet. The kids really enjoy it here. It’s a charming little spot where you can eat and have fun feeding the ducks. My children, who are 5 and 3 years old, absolutely love it. Plus, the duck feed is reasonably priced at just 50 cents per cup!
