Harvester Talbot - Epping

All the meats were overcooked burnt and dry. Very disappointed as we had really good meal here 3 weeks before. I likely to eat here again now. The meal was a gift to celebrate my 80th birthday

Chips tastied as though reheated, onion ring over done and tomato, no cucumber or tomato on salad bar, only thing enjoyable was dessert

Short staffed: Ordering Slow: Drinks arrived 20 minutes after the first course to arrive. First course Skewers order then told not available. Dessert order 2 x treacle pudding, then told not available 15 minutes later. Order bitter shandy, pub does not serve bitter. Honestly a poor very poor experience, won't be rushing back any time soon.

Was OK the salad bar was almost empty . I guess it gets refreshed . But I think they had issues with lack of staff so I guess its usually topped up or monitored more with full staff as today they were having to stop serving at 1930 due to staffing issues. The floor around some tables needed cleaning . Again I'm sure down to staffing levels the food was OK and the girl serving us was nice and worked off her feet Wouldn't rush back tbh
