Bidrage med feedbackWe went to dinner and both ordered the Entrecôte-Steak, which was served with French fires (good, as in France! and was very nice. we washed this with a few glasses of local champagne and blonde beer. the waiters could not speak English. (what our problem is, not her, but were very patient with us at the order. the bill came to 90 euro with service.
Two of us had a dish with raw tuna slices and sweet, which tasty tasted, but an hour later got bad scombroid food poisoning.
English-speaking tourist: not so. I know French waiters have something from a call to rudeness, but the little bald-side misfortune we've met here is the worst thing we've ever seen. we arrived at 1:30 a.m. yesterday to eat lunch. Knowing that our passport sanitaries (vaccination certificates) would have to be checked, we waited on the outside terrace while the waiter was ready on a table. he turned around, he made eye contact, but then brushed by when I started asking for a table (in French). a few minutes later he came out of the restaurant and spoke with me unfaithful. Yes, we could have a table, but our peaches would have to be checked first. then he went back to the restaurant and talked to some customers while we waited patiently outside. Finally he came out again and ignored us completely while he served two customers drinks. he then turned revered and began to speak with two other customers. after a past, and feeling very stupid, we finally got the budding. he didn't want to serve us. So we left and found a very good straight on the road, with friendly staff. lection learned!
Bar Parisien has THE best value champagne list anywhere Gosset Grande Reserve, Laurent Perrier and Pol Roger all fabulous for €39 which is below retail prices. Avoid the tart, bland Moet which is inexplicably more expensive at €49. Service was brusque, not friendly and...slow, and the food is mediocre. So the only reason to go here is to drink good champagne at great prices!
Salads were fine. Nothing special but filling and fresh enough. Maybe the server was having a bad day. We were made to feel we were imposing on her by asking for a menu (after having sat over 10 minutes waiting for one) and by asking...a question about one of the salads. When we thanked her for holding the dressing and just bringung olive oil so that one diner with celiac disease could avoid possible gluten, she indicated that was a burden.
