Bidrage med feedbackAbsolutely amazing food, thoroughly recommended, and worth a detour and an overnight stay. Fresh ingredients in excellent combinations, beautifully served and with the warmest welcome from Kieran and the team. Just go there, you won’t regret it. Possibly the best restaurant in Ireland.
Every glowing review of this restaurant is true and well-deserved. What a dining experience it was! The ambience was perfect. Not over the top nor a minimalist bore but welcoming and warm. The staff was top notch. And the food was delicious, inventive, and well-presented. Thank you, Keiran, for accommodating us and congratulations on your awards!
Oar is a bright but cosy restaurant in the stunning Doolin Village. We had a lovely experience from start to finish. Our server welcomed us and looked after us throughout the evening. She expertly paired our drinks menu to match our food order. The Food was fresh and flavoursome from starter to dessert, an explosion of colour and taste from each plate. We were treated to little sorbets between meals . The service was excellent and there was a comfortable amount of time between courses . At the end of the meal we didn't feel rushed out the door for the next cover of people. Overall highly recommended. We will definitely be back .
Fabulous loved the whole experience. The food was amazing. It was above and beyond my expectations. Their desserts, OMG! I heard it was lovely and it was a must to try, but it eeally was exceptional. Ciaran was a brilliant host. Staff were welcoming. Always willing to help. Food was delicious. Wine was excellent. Acommodation was brilliant. Can not fault it. A must try if you are anywhere near Doolin. Will be going back..
We had dinner on a Friday evening for a family celebration. It was perfect from beginning to end. The dining room was bright and relaxing and with a full house, had a great atmosphere. The service was very friendly and relaxed but yet very professional. There was something on the menu for everyone and it was very accessible for young and old. Without exception, everyone cleared their plates! I had the St Tola goats cheese salad for starters which was beautifully presented followed by a perfectly cooked rib eye with the most delicious pepper sauce I have ever tasted. Soufflé for desert with passion fruit sorbet. All of this was preceded by a perfect amuse bouche and an amazing basil and tomato based palate cleanser between the starters and mains. It is clear that Kieran and his team are clearly so proud of what they are doing at Oar and so they should be. Their menu is very reasonably priced for dinner and the wine selection is well chosen and without a huge mark up. They deserve at least one Michelin Star.
