Bidrage med feedbackThis was my first and last visit to Sam's. I ordered through the drive-thru around 6 PM on a Saturday, and I was the only one in line. Unfortunately, I had to wait about five minutes before anyone took my order, which consisted of two fried shrimp po'boys with fries. After paying at the window, I waited roughly 35 to 40 minutes to receive my food. When the employee finally handed me my order, there was no apology for the long wait, but she did mention that it was hot off the grill. Since I live only about ten minutes away, I expected my food to be warm, but it was barely lukewarm. Each sandwich contained only two shrimp, and one half of a sandwich had just a single shrimp. There was an excess of lettuce and thick tomato slices, but the fries were just mediocre. Overall, I left feeling very disappointed.
I used to love them in Texas, so I was really excited to find one in Enid! The fish and shrimp are absolutely delicious. I've missed them ever since the tornado in Ennis closed them down. If you’re a fan of Southern-style fish and shrimp with incredible sides, you definitely need to try this place!
This is an excellent place for seafood! The manager showed us to a lovely table, and the food was outstanding. The atmosphere was also wonderful. I will definitely come back!
My visit to the restaurant was quite disappointing due to several cleanliness issues. The floors were visibly dirty, marked by black streaks of grime. I found it difficult to pull my sandals off the carpet, and the tiles were slick with grease, particularly in the bathroom. After sitting on the chairs, my hands felt sticky and unpleasant. I even saw other patrons using napkins to wipe down their tables before sitting, which was a telling sign of the overall tidiness. While the staff was friendly, it was evident that they were struggling with being understaffed—a problem that seems common these days. Moreover, the digital menu turned out to be misleading. I ordered chicken wings for my son, expecting to pay $7.99 for six pieces, but was shocked to find the actual price was $11.99. Given the quality of the food and the dining experience overall, that felt quite overpriced.
Looking back on this experience, I realize I should have been more careful about ordering seafood and oysters in Enid, Oklahoma—of all places! This isn’t a critique of Enid; my wife was born here—I’m simply noting that there aren’t any nearby oceans or seas providing fresh seafood. I'll share some pictures to highlight my experience; I’m not trying to be negative, just honest. Take care!
