Father&son Seafood/steak-n-take

The food was disappointing. The chicken, fried fish, and shrimp were poorly seasoned and soggy, while the fries were also limp and lacked seasoning. The candied yams tasted burnt and mushy, as if too much cinnamon had been added. The collard greens seemed like they came from a can, with only hot sauce coming through in flavor. The mac and cheese and potato salad were just okay, but again, they were missing flavor. Overall, it felt like the meal was prepared without any care. I really wanted to give this place a chance since it’s a new restaurant, but it was a big letdown. I suspect that the positive reviews must come from friends or people who aren't familiar with authentic Southern soul food.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! The atmosphere is fantastic, and everything is very clean, which is to be expected. The service is quick and friendly, and the food is always fresh. You’ll find yourself wanting to return the next day just for another cup of their refreshing Lemon Ginger Lemonade!

Great experience with fast delivery and hot food! Everything tasted amazing. The vegetable medley was perfectly seasoned and packed with crunchy veggies. My only minor complaint is that the mac and cheese was a bit too salty, and I didn't receive my lemonade. Still, I’ll definitely order again, and I’m looking forward to visiting in person someday!
