The Poppadom - Enfield

I highly recommend this place for delicious Indian food, especially the chicken balti. The ingredients are fresh and full of flavor.

The service at this restaurant is very genuine and welcoming. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi and it was absolutely delicious. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

What can I say about the Poppadom? It hit the spot in every way. As the Curry Connoisseurs descended on the establishment, the pressure was on to deliver. And deliver it did. Brilliant raita to compliment the poppadom. As we took in the marvellous decor, our mains arrived. Soft pillowy garlic naan, ruby red chicken tikka masala with all the sweetness one could want, rich flavoursome bhuna filled with spice one of the best in Enfield. Also tried the vindaloo and a dish named the captain’s pathilla must try. Very reasonably priced, we shall be attending again soon. Watch out Saathi, there may be a new curry house coming for the crown.

I hate to leave a bad review, especially in a place that I've had good food from in the past. Maybe it's the industry wide lack of staff, but I can't accept service when we're left waiting without any kind of explanation of why we're waiting. Restaurant eating isn't about the food alone, I can cook just as well at home, its about the service and tonight that was lacking. Our waiter tried to keep it together, and was attentive as he could have been, but distracted by a couple of local regulars he took his eye off the ball and ignored everyone else. We're all waiting to be served, the regulars are taking selfies behind the counter. I absolutely can not accept bad service, it made me angry, and in the case of my friend vocally angry for which I apologise. As a note to the future, manage people's expectations. If you're busy, we get it. But don't allow regulars to make a joke about it whilst others are hungry. We won't ever be coming back, and we live 5 minutes away. I hope for your sake in the future you prioritise your customers over your friends.
