Bidrage med feedbackThis was my first visit to the restaurant. I went on a Thursday evening around 5 PM, and there was hardly anyone there. The atmosphere is quite pleasant—it's not too bright or overly decorated. As for the service...
I really want to love this place because the staff is incredibly friendly and enjoyable! However, based on some of the previous reviews, I was hesitant to try the sushi. I'm serious about it!
The sushi was quite good. We sampled a few different rolls and found them all enjoyable. The house wine was reasonably priced and pleasantly surprising in flavor. The service was excellent! Overall, a very positive experience.
The sushi here is incredible—definitely some of the freshest you'll find. My fiancé and I often come for lunch, and we're always greeted with excellent service and seated right away. A tip: you can order local dishes even if you're on the restaurant side. It tends to be quicker, and the food tastes just as delicious!
Our party of six settled around the Hibachi table, and our beverage orders were promptly taken. The beers were perfectly chilled, and the cocktails were enjoyable. We decided to share some starters: the gyoza beef dumplings and crispy orange sesame chicken, both of which were excellent. The miso soup was tasty, and the salad was fresh and crisp, although two out of six salads arrived without dressing; our server quickly resolved this issue. When our Hibachi cook arrived, he was very skilled. While not as personable as the cooker we had at another restaurant, he did a great job. The steaks were beautifully presented and fresh, and both the chicken and shrimp were outstanding. The portion sizes were larger than what we had experienced in previous Hibachi meals, and everything was delicious, if not better. All six of us felt satisfied with our meals at a fair price, and we all agreed we would happily return in the future. It’s great to have a restaurant like Oyama so close to home, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit! One small suggestion: it would be nice to have cloth napkins instead of paper for the Hibachi experience, especially if you prefer that. Just a thought!
