Kallista Tea Rooms - Emerald

Kallista Tea Rooms is a fantastic day trip less than an hour away from Melbourne. The spacious, airy, and light-filled room is a welcome retreat after a rainy day exploring the Victorian temperate rainforest. With three grandchildren in tow, including one dressed up for Halloween, there was something for everyone. The children enjoyed coloring near the front door while we relaxed at a table, enjoying much-needed caffeine. The owners were gracious and accommodating, ensuring that nothing was too much trouble. Overall, a delightful experience for both young and old alike.

The food, service, decor was beautiful. we had a window seat and we are delighted by the beautiful sulphur cres cocktedatoos. the meal was delicious and a great size. the coffee was beautiful and the total experience was positiw. the biggest disadvantage is the lack of accessibility for older and disabled people. where the restaurant is located, it makes problematic when mobility problems are part of their everyday.

The charge spoiled the visit as well as the cranked soy cappuccino I was served. the food was nice enough and the service was good

Kalista tea room was one of my lists, and when we decided to do it on weekday, I was very pleasantly surprised. let's eat: amazing. I had the chili eggs and would recommend hearty: only the right amount of kick and full taste. hubby had increased the brioche french toast, slightly from its typical farewell by the delicious addition of pear-comonate and coconut-cutard. a must for all sweet tooths out there. the prices were perhaps a hauch on the rather side (think the tourist prices), although I personally think reasonable enough for the quality. so far think of atmosphere ekclectic-bush-hole-in-the-wall; a big tick in my book. with a relaxed, cool vibe it is perfect for a long, dazzling cuppa or just a quick bite to eat. one of the highlights of the huge for me was the scenic, local Kakaduo viewing: free lunch. the inner of the caffe has a section with this magnificent picture window that shows the local winged inhabitants chilling, screaming and putting on a free show. it was as unexpected as it was brilliant. I'm back in a definitiv: the high tee calls my name.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon at 3pm for a Devonshire tea. We did request extra cream and jam (which we found was a little sparse on an earlier visit) and they happily obliged. The scones were huge and still warm and fresh (we...asked if the scones were microwaved and were advised that a fresh batch of scones were baked every 2 hours). Hot tea, extra hot water, and a lovely take home box for my second of 2 scones, with little pots of cream and jam. Highly recommended for Sunday afternoon (I don’t know what it’s like at peak times). Order ahead for Devonshire tea to take away they are boxed, with 2 scones, little wooden knife, and a pot of cream (heavy fresh) and a pot of jam. Charming staff and a very nice waiter I would definitely go back.
