Cellblock Steak House - Ely

The atmosphere is fantastic, and the steaks are delicious. I ordered the original rib, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend choosing the double-baked potato as one of your side options.

Visited on July 30, 2021. We arrived at 8:30 PM with a party of three and were seated in about five minutes. The service was quick and friendly! This restaurant is a steakhouse, with the menu almost entirely focused on steak, along with a few other options like salmon. I opted for the ribeye and stuffed potato, and I have no regrets. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium, and the sides were plentiful. While it is on the pricier side, the quality justifies the cost. Each table is set up in a quirky, prison cell-like area, which adds a humorous touch. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Ely and craving a steak dinner!

Additionally, the female host who seated us was quite sniffly and could use a more welcoming demeanor. Overall, we felt like we wasted our money. I hate to be harsh, but that's the truth. The restaurant should rethink its menu and focus on items they can actually prepare well. They even managed to mess up the iced tea! Yes, really.

That was a fun experience. The Steak dinners we had were very good. The servers were very busy, but we still felt like we had a good service.

This was the worst dining experience ever when stopping for dinner on our way to Vegas. 1. Our drink orders were wrong 2. It took 20 minutes to place our order. 3. The appetizer stuffed mushrooms were all heat no flavor 4. 2 tables who sat after us got their orders ahead of ours. 5. After 40 minutes of waiting, when our order arrived, it was Wrong Again. 6. We left without eating our meals and still were charge $40 for bread, 2 coffees, 1 soda, 1 appetizer,, and a long Island iced tea. I am very thankful my friend, who's Birthday we were celebrating with our trip, hadn't taken her insulin when we ordered or we would have had a medical emergency on our hands with the wait for service. DO NOT RECOMMEND IF YOU WANT PROMPT SERVICE OR FLAVORFUL FOOD
