Basehit Bbq - Elmwood Park

We decided to order from the restaurant for the first time while at work. The food came individually packaged. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which was fantastic, and it was served with fries. While the sandwich was amazing, the fries were a bit soggy, though still enjoyable. One of my coworkers ordered the chicken wings and said they were good. Another coworker tried the brisket sandwich and mentioned it had a lot of fat on it. The potato salad was decent, but the beans were not good at all. Overall, I think it’s a place you should visit in person to get the full experience.

We had dinner at this restaurant last night for the first time in about a year, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. None of the food was edible, even with my culinary expertise. The pulled pork was incredibly dry, which is surprising considering it was swimming in fat. It didn't have any distinctive flavor—it was just spicy in a harsh way, not enjoyable at all. The fries were limp and lacked any salt. The ribs were also overly spicy and came without sauce, so my 5-year-old didn't eat anything except the complimentary bread. The rib tips were tough, and overall, none of the meat was tender, juicy, or flavorful. The only redeeming quality was the mac and cheese, which earned the restaurant its one star. Oh, and the coleslaw had dried cranberries in it, which felt like a tasteless joke. I can’t bring myself to give this place a second chance; I’m done.

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and the food was amazing. I ordered the barbecue chicken, which paired perfectly with the mango sauce. My daughter had the chicken tenders, and we also tried the rib tips. Everything was delicious. The two young men working there provided excellent customer service as well. We'll definitely be returning!

This place is a joke. They have children who lead this place with every true supervision. It was over to try it, ordered a brisket sandwich. Wait for almost 20 minutes so I can get a sandwich full of burned brisket. IF u wants something fresh, that's not the place. Looks like they've done everything I don't know how many days in the cooler they're just preheating or burning it in my case.

Original review down below , this place is good but inconsistent, today I ordered the turkey tips kinda tough but eatable , flavor was there and they was grilled to a crisp (turkey tip had bones) however the mac and cheese tasted spoiled. Last time I was here I tried the brisket sandwich and it was extremely tough which was a first for me when it comes to brisket. Ultimately not a bad restaurant just wish the consistency was here. (Original review 2 yrs ago) This place was really good best bbq on the westside I ordered the Tip link combo , 2 jerk tacos and the Nashville chicken sandwich. The tips were good could be less fatty but tasted really good especially with the mango pineapple sauce they had on it , the hot link was flavorful tasted hints of Tabasco which ain't a complaint , the jerk chicken tacos were ok but good enough sense this place focuses on bbq but if you have high standards for jerk chicken I wouldn't order it. Lastly the Nashville sandwich was ? , definitely would order it again. Overall the place was good workers were very professional, food came out within 15 minutes. In conclusion I will be back.
