Cartecay River Pizza Company - Ellijay

Great place staff was very friendly. The pizza was excellent. I would highly recommend them, if you looking for the best pizza in the area.

I was in the mood for pizza and decided to order some Cartecay. It has been good in the past, so I went to the menu online. I ordered the Cartecay Specialty pizza for 17. or 17.99, I phone it in and leave my name. I was going to be about an hour and a half wait. Great. I get there to pick up my pizza, just out of the oven, perfect timing. I have cash in hand with 26 I figured with tax it left a few bucks to leave a tip , even though it was take out. Cashier tells me 20.09..I thought but I had her repeat it..no..it was 29.00. I was surprised and said I ordered the Cartecay and it said it was 17.00 or so. They said they could not change the prices on the online menu for some reason. Well, that is just fine also..but I ordered a pizza for 17 and that is almost double you are wanting now. I did not even say that..I said it was ridiculous ,referring to the fact that the menu online is incorrect and I was not even told what the total would be over the phone. I didn't think to ask because I thought I knew how much it would cost. Silly me. Well, instead of a sincere apology and maybe even a small discount that I did not expect..no,,instead I got a terrible retort Have you been to a grocery store lately?! Me: Ocourse Have you noticed the price of food?! Me: Yes, I have. He then yelled, Just give it to her! I said that I did not want a FREE pizza, I wanted what I ordered and have money to pay for it. I gave the girl 26 ,took my pizza and left. I still feel shocked and disappointed by how that went down. Business is great though,,they run out of pizza dough every weekend. I just happened to luck out I guess. : This pizza was good but the crust was pretty burned IMO. I would have been unhappy at 17.

I had the pleasure of meeting Tim and the ladies today..I ordered the Clear Creek Pizza and it was great!!! They load it up and into the brick oven..He thanked me for my Service and even gave me a discount as a Veteran..I will be back soon, gotta try the Meatball sandwich..

After getting off the river, this was a delicious treat. The people were friendly and it was pretty quick and tasted great. The crust is on the thin side, but we really liked it. Also, their costs have gone up, but all the pizzas range from 20 29, or 4 a slice. That’s pretty standard for where we’re from anyway at a restaurant. We enjoyed it.
