The Tipsy Biscuit - Elkhart

I 've been here before and had a great experience. Today, was the most unwelcoming experience I have had at a restaurant ever. First of all we had a 30 min wait, which no problem this is a popular joint. But they seat people who had no reservation and came after us , seat them before us. The lady who sat us down threw our silverware on the table, didn 't set it down we observed her doing for everyone else. Second we had a male waiter who didn 't get our drink orders until 20 minutes after we were seated. I understand a busy work environment but the priority of his duties were just awful. I ordered chicken and waffles and asked for the savory and sweet, I only got both because the waiter said that it would be free of charge. A chunky big white girl with glasses and freckles came out with my strawberry waffle, picked it up with her hands(yes touched my food for no reason), and threw it on the table. Literally. Then said oh yea and you 'll be charged extra for this I politely said I won 't be paying for it after you touched it. I also had to ask for my honey thyme drizzle because it didn 't come with my meal as listed. And she just gave me the nastiest looks and stormed to the back talking very rudely among her staff. I did speak with the manager about her behavior but it didn 't seem like it was taken very seriously. My table was never rude or gave them a reason to treat us how they did. The male waiter did try to make up for the ignorant big girl who touched my waffle which was appreciated. I hope they change their attitudes towards everyone who comes into their establishment because it 's such a fun and tasty place. It doesn 't deserve to have workers like that tarnish it 's name. The place was recommended by me and I felt terrible after the behavior we received.

Place is small so glad they added outdoor seating. Reservations a must. Food was awesome and fresh, service was a little too attentive… Had three servers ask if we were ready to order and kept refilling coffee and water after we paid (2 servers). Also need a better blend of coffee. It was standard restaurant quality and tasted watered down.

Awesome atmosphere great service!! Nice breakfast spot!! Food was great! I grew up in the middle of amish country and it's almost impossible to beat their sausage gravy, that's the only reason this place didn't get a full 5 stars.

Awesome place and super nice staff. We called ahead and had a table ready immediately when we got there. Food came out quick and all of it was delicious! I got the protein omelet with side of pancake and tots. I know some reviews said they didn't like the tots, but I thought they were great. They're not your typical tots, they're more like a fried mashed potato ball of goodness. Will definitely be coming back!

The food and beverage we got were outstanding and you can tell ingredients were fresh. Probably best to get a reservation. We showed up at 845 and there was already a line for them opening up at 9.
