Hunan Chinese - Elizabethton

After having moved from a much larger city 6 months ago, I was eating authentic Chinese food and that was the most fresh thing I found. I had the beef chow mine and the vegetables were perfectly cooked, crispy, but easy to bite, and it was obvious that they were fresh not frozen. The egg rolls were also great. You can say that they don't costCo dumplings, etc everything is very fresh. My husband had the orange chicken and the part was very nice to see a whole chicken breast and not just pieces. I would highly recommend this place. Very pleased to have found it and I am happy to try other dishes on the menu.

It's been here for years. Appropriate prices, friendly service. Egg rolls are the best. Hot and acid soup is very unique and extremely tasty. Shrimp roasted rice is my new favorite. The building went a bit. They have rebuilt some things like floor coverings, but the cabin seats are sunk and worn and table tops have ALWAYS sticky. I hope her new location is more beautiful.

From 2/6/22 I do not believe that the restaurant has open meals or deliveries in the interior by staff. Eating is always great and the staff is always friendly. I'm trying to call 20 minutes ago before I'm ready to pick up my order.

Food is DELICIOUS, and the staff is great. I had a problem with my food today and they credited me the whole meal. Just brilliant and so appreciated.

By far one of my favorite restaurants to eat at. The food is amazing and fresh. Having eaten at a number of Chinese restaurants around the world over the years, I firmly believe the owners could easily be successful in a high class restaurant setting. The owners however say that they wouldn't want to, that they enjoy catering to the general public. Their new location at 745 Elk Ave in Elizabethton is bigger and better able to accommodate more people and the kitchen has upgraded equipment, allowing for a better all around dining experience.
