Bidrage med feedbackI was undecided while ordering….. The nice lady talked me into ordering half burnt ends and half BBQ…….both were spectacular. I really enjoyed trying all the hand crafted sauces.
Don't shy away from this local gem when passing through. You won't be disappointed with the flavors they pack in their BBQ. Some can be dry, but the sauce they put with it pairs like a fine wine. Sides are fairly generic but they don't take away from the main course. Potato salad is a fantastic take on the traditional side dish. Mixed with the French fries is surprisingly tasty. Was not expecting much, but was happily impressed. Bonus is they teamed up with the tap house next door and they'll bring you your food while you enjoy a nice brew.
The food here was fresh and had a great smokey taste and was so tender!!!
Excellent BBQ restaurant great place to gather the family and enjoy some damn good smoked meats.
I am baffled by the reviews of this place. My expectations were solid based on reviews and some items being sold out (usually a tell of decent BBQ). Ordered full rack of ribs and brisket with coleslaw, collards, beans, and potato salad. Let me preface with, I consider myself an excellent pit master travel the country sampling BBQ fare. The only thing I enjoyed here was the potato salad. The ribs smelled like a next day campfire when I opened the container and the smoke was overpowering on the palate. Texture was decent as they held the bone well but still tender. The brisket was really really not good. It seemed like it was cooked to about 170°, sliced thin, and then slapped on the flat top grill then tossed in sauce. Flavor was below average, but incredibly tough. Closer to jerky than brisket. The coleslaw appeared to be finely chopped cabbage and no discernible sauce at all. Not just dry, but actually lacking any sauce. The collards were mushy like overcooked spinach. The BBQ beans were average but portion was small with mostly sauce in my container. Maybe we caught this place on a bad night, but I would not try it again.
