Bernie's Kitchen - Elizabeth

Closed downMy friend told me that I had to try Bernie’s before leaving Colorado because their food is amazing. I finally found the time to try it, so we drove to Elizabeth, CO. We drove to the address and unfortunately Bernie’s was closed down for good. I was truly looking forward to trying Bernie’s because my friend constantly raved about it. Hopefully they’ll reopen in the future.

The food is very large portions but is awfully greasy. the staff is friendly and attentive and the small town fell is cozy. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing? I'll definitely try something else next time I

Exceptionally slow service for a restaurant that wasn't very busy. (Waited 45+ minutes for our food and people who sat after us got theirs before us. Food was sub-par. Nothing special. Way too expensive. The lady server was extremely rude to the young guys serving too, getting on to them in front of the whole restaurant. Just was an overall bad experience. We won't be going back after our first visit.
