Bidrage med feedbackWe ordered fried pickles, cheese curds, and chicken nachos. The fried pickles were just okay; one was completely hollow with only breading, and the others had breading that fell off when I took a bite. The cheese curds were good, and the dipping sauce was nice. However, the nachos were disappointing. While they had plenty of toppings, they were served cold, and the chips were a bit soggy, suggesting they had been sitting out too long before being brought to our table. When the bill arrived, I noticed that I was charged for both the beer that was out of stock and the replacement. The server did remove the incorrect charge, but it took quite a while to resolve the issue. Overall, while our experience wasn't terrible, I don't think we'll be returning.
My son and his family, who follow vegetarian and vegan diets, often dine at EPH due to its diverse menu options. Whenever my husband and I join them, we also choose this restaurant. My husband is a meat lover, while I'm a vegetarian—though I must admit, I really miss having a good hamburger. On our recent visit, we brought our grandchildren along, and they absolutely loved the fruit bowl and macaroni and cheese. I decided to try a Beyond Burger that was styled like their Mushroom Swiss burger. It was amazing! The bun was perfectly toasted and crispy, the patty was cooked just right, and the sautéed mushrooms (I added onions) paired wonderfully with the Swiss cheese. The burger was enormous and incredibly delicious! I've never been able to finish such a large burger in one sitting, but I did it this time! It came with fries, which I only had a few of, but they were quite tasty as well. We visited during St. Patrick's Day weekend, so the restaurant was bustling. Despite the crowd, our waiter was exceptionally friendly and efficient, and our food arrived quickly. EPH has a charming historical ambiance, set in an older building rich with character, making it a cozy and enjoyable spot for a meal. They even offer board games to play while you wait! If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend checking it out. Plus, they have an extensive beer selection—this place is definitely worth a visit!
I heard on WRNM 1410AM talk radio that there was a retirement party for Leah, a broadcaster from the Radio Shopping Club, so I decided to check it out. The party was held in a spacious and clean back area of the restaurant. The waitress was attentive and provided prompt service, and the food was fantastic—particularly the chicken nuggets. Everyone I encountered there was friendly and welcoming. The only drawback was that they didn’t offer any canned diet drinks, which was a bit disappointing since I don’t drink alcohol. Overall, it’s a lovely place.
My husband ordered the Boursin Kobe burger, and while I forgot to take a picture, I can say they really piled on the garlic herb Boursin cheese spread. There was so much that he had to push it aside to enjoy the burger comfortably. He thought it was a decent burger, but it was a bit messier than he liked. Our waitress was very friendly, which we appreciated. The restaurant has a spacious, pub-like atmosphere, making it a nice place overall, but unfortunately, my burger fell short of my expectations.
The menu offers a diverse selection that caters to everyone. Vegetarians can choose from several burger options. The portion sizes are ample, and the staff is extremely friendly. I will certainly be back to sample more dishes and enjoy a cocktail.
