Elgin Buffet

One of the chicken dishes I believe had bad chicken. It gaged me as soon as I put it in my mouth. Also the egg role was under cooked inside. I was very pleased to find the chicken on a stick was fantastic. I would not recommend this place to an enemy. I will not return.

I wish they would allow ratings to go from plus 5, to negative 5 to be fair. Unfortunately you can't give it zero stars either. I've had my share of Chinese buffets in my life. I love them. But what I experienced today (6/17/23) has got to be and is the worse Chinese buffet I have ever eaten at yet in my life. Nearly $20 for a lunch buffet? Not much of a selection of Sushi. The yum yum sauce was spicy, not sweet. Most of the hot food trays were empty. Also the trays for the Hibachi grill. None of the dishes or appetizers had any flavor. The orange chicken. Although it just came out and was hot. It was over cooked. The breading was so hard I was barely able to pierce it with a fork. I was really looking forward to having some Chinese food. I was highly disappointed. The best thing they have there were their buffalo wings. But trust me that's not a recommendation either. I didn't come to a Chinese buffet for wings. I don't know if there is another buffet in the area or not. But I would not recommend this place. And I can assure you that I won't be back either. I'm just glad that this was my first time eating at a Chinese buffet. Because I would grow up hating it. Terrible! Respectfully!

They started charging $1.99 for kids 1-2 years old. This is ridiciculous. My daughter barely eats a couple of noodles and Mac and cheese. Plus the waiters are on top of us when getting ready to leave. Don't even give us space to put our jackets when they're already wiping tables. And on top of that, plates have left over food. It's so disgusting.

Clean. Food was good. Husband and I will be back again and again. I can't wait to try the hibachi. Which does not make the atmosphere smokey. Did try the hibachi loved it was so good.
