This is a delicious sushi place that is worth trying! Some of the other sushi we had on the island made my man sick but not this place. the service was not great when we went, but we think that was because a celebrity was there when we went and got most attention from the service staff.

They have a few good vegan options like a vegan sushi burrito, Bento shell with tofu, avocado poke bowl, etc. we had the tofu bento and it was great with added avocado and tempura. the only bad thing about this place was the very slow service. it took about half an hour to get our stuff and pay.

We had lunch twice at Japanese Grandma’s while visiting Kauai. Everything is clearly labeled so it is easy to order vegan food. We loved the food, and there were more options than I was expecting. The bento bowl for lunch was particularly nice and filling. You have the option to pay a bit more to add avocado and brown rice to the bowl.
