We were in this restaurant after many years. They treated us well, but I have to recognize that they have little personal. We order half roast chicken and a churrasco. the chicken was very good though the churrasco had no flavor, it was noticed frozen meat of South America. We were charged $10.00 for the churrasco who knew nothing!
Sitio auténtico y con mucho jaleo. Nos tocó esperar unos 15 minutos para tener mesa. Me sorprendió que hasta en los entrantes había varios platos de carne. Nos sujetamos un poco y pedimos ensalada, patatas fritas, croquetas, abanico y conejo. Todo muy bueno, el conejo espectacular. Atención algo caótica pero rápida y amable. Chupito de parte de la casa. Precios razonables. Me cobraron 1,05 € por un café sólo, creo que no he pagado eso en la península desde 2001.
Stopped here for lunch before going to El Teide, very good beef steaks and secreto ibérico (pork) also the morcilla was very good.
We always visit Bodegon Campestre when we come to Tenerife. Our first visit was in 1996 and it just gets better. The salads, the bread and olive dip are just amazing. I always have the black pudding or the selection if sausages which come to the table on fire. The steaks, lamb and chicken are all cooked on volcanic rock and are delicious. It's out of the way in a little village but worth the trek. The staff are so lovely and welcome you back. Sometimes you have to wait for a table at busy times but it's no hassle because the food is to die for.
