Gilly's Taco Cantina - El Paso

Went there on a Saturday night around 10PM. Lack luster service. Was not greeted, as we passed by servers going to the patio. Server definitely saw us going out to the patio. Had to go inside to ask for a server and menu after sitting there for 10minutes. Another 5-10 minutes passed and noone came.Restaurant was barely half full as well. Disappointing for sure. First and last.

The beers from the tap were cold but not super cold, I know it 's hot in EP right now but there are other spots that pour you a colder beer and have chilled mugs or glasses that is key. Hopefully it gets cooler or just ask for longnecks. They have their version of Chico 's tacos , a little different though. They serve theirs in a bowl with the red or green sauce whichever you pick. The flautas because we all know they are actually flautas and not tacos are not drowning in the sauce, the bowl isn 't quite deep enough. they are halfway submersed in the broth. I 'm pretty sure you can ask for more if you like them like that.

Went here on a whim for a late lunch and I really enjoyed it. I ordered fried pickles, which were light and crunchy and well seasoned! I also had a michelob ultra, which came to me ICE cold!! My husband ordered the Carne asada salad. The meat was so flavorful and plentiful! This salad filled him up, and he's 6'1 200lbs.The servers were on it! Kept our drinks filled!! There are plenty of TVs to watch football and good music playing!The prices were also really good! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a good lunch spot/ happy hour spot!

First time here and got a torta! Didn’t know their flautas were the staple but was able to try them. You are able to choose the quantity of flautas.

Service was outstanding! The wings were really delicious! Fun environment for the entire family! Great music choices and great set up!
