Marie Callender's - El Monte

I ordered the chicken pot pie combo with a Caesar salad and cornbread. The pot pie was warm, but the crust lacked flavor. The salad was a bit soggy and had way too much dressing. The cornbread was dry, much like what others have mentioned in their reviews. The most frustrating part was that while we were dining, the staff was vacuuming the carpet right next to us, which made for an uncomfortable experience. Cleaning should really be done after hours. Overall, I was not impressed with the food and would rate it a 3 out of 5.

So we are not from this area we came for a a missions conference and we could not believe how good the food was. Turkey, stuffing, corn bread, mash potatos and gravy, salad,, mixed veggies, pie, all cooked to perfection.. We've been to Marie Calendars before but never this one and wow we were very pleasantly suprised. Everything was amazing. The service top notch. Everything was perfect. I'm happy they now serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner! My favorite pies are apple, custard, banana cream, and fresh peach during the summer. Delicious!

I accidentally ordered the wrong meal, but the manager was very accommodating and offered to correct my order. The service was excellent.

They were extremely friendly and quick, considering I didn't call ahead.
