Bidrage med feedbackGreat service and exceptional food. Best Sushi in East County (between Palm Springs and San Diego)
Staff are friendly and benevolent contributing to a cool atmosphere. Even the cook came out of the back for a little was interested in how we were enjoying our meal. In addition to the outstanding service they offer a special on sushi that includes two rolls for 9.99! Love this place!
So and so. I asked what is their most popular meal and got this. I wasn’t impressed. Not much flavor.
Food was good. Service was terrible. Waitress never came back to refill our drinks. They were too busy gossiping amongst themselves.
After reading all those positive reviews, I was sooo excited to have some decent pho in the valley. Well, truth be told, this was a major disappointment. Pho broth was sweeter than Tom Yum's and there wasn't that rich cinnamon-y, beefy aroma I was craving. I reheated the broth with a lot of lime, hoisin sauce, and sriracha, but the flavor was just not there. I was expecting a lot bc of their confident pricing of $13.95, but really, its quality wasn't even worth $6. It was hella food, but that wasn't the reason why four of us could not finish 2 orders of pho. On the side, we ordered South Dakota roll, which was good, and spring rolls... which I do not want to believe that I paid 8 dollars on. They were more like loose noodle rolls, with rice noodles taking up 3/4 of the filling, along with a piece of lettuce, few pieces of mint leaves, tiny cucumber slices, and couple thin slices of meat and shrimp. I gulped one down as soon as I got home, but when I took a bite into the second one, I found out that the shrimp was not thoroughly cooked as shown in the picture. I checked that all the other pieces have RAW and GRAY shrimp slices so I ended up throwing all away. For a pickup of 2 combo pho (w a piece of tripe, 3 quarters of meatball, well-done briskets, no rare beef, and hella bean sprouts, jalapenos, onions, cilantro, and mint/basil), a $10 roll, and 2 pieces of noodle rolls, the total came out to be $49, which can cover 3 reg size pho (w more tripe, rare beef, 2 meatballs), thicc greeny spring rolls, and 2 glasses of thai tea at the authentic pho restaurants!! Food prices are higher in store for this restaurant than on delivery apps, so the total will come out almost the same either way (There was only $5 difference in mine). Just noticed that the price shown on Yelp is lower than in store menu, too. Restaurant itself doesn't deserve any star, so the lone star goes to Gabby, their hostess, for her beautiful hospitality and her knowledge on the menu. I'm sorry. I told you I'd tip you better next time, but it seems like there's no next time.
