Bidrage med feedbackMy friend and I recently visited this restaurant, and we received a wonderful welcome. The lovely Jessie served us and made our day. We had a great chat, and Jessie mentioned that there was a live music event coming up. I expressed my interest in attending, but unfortunately, we had to return to Glasgow. This was in June 2019. I definitely need to come back to see Jessie again.
I highly recommend this charming cafe at the community center, which is run by lovely local women. If you're in the area and looking for a quick bite, especially toasties, this is the place to go.
We stopped by for a cup of tea (and cake) which was fresh and delicious. We felt very welcomed and ended up staying longer for a chat with the woman who served us and two other local women.
We were wanting some refreshments and this place was the only place open that we could find in mid October. The lovely lady, who was working on her own, was so helpful and had time for a chat, she told us about her day and the whole place was so unrushed. We had nice cake and a nice coffee at a very reasonable price.
We would love to have eaten here, as our ferry was cancelled due to high winds and were struggling to find anywhere to eat. However, when we arrived we were greated by a woman waving her arms telling us they were closed. We promptly left and drove further up the road to turn round; on our way back we saw 3 cars there with people eating.......
