Granary Schnitzel House - EGANVILLE

The service was attentive and courteous, and everyone in our group finished their meals since the portions were quite generous. While the building could really use some renovations, the quirky decor and numerous local art prints give it a unique and charming character. I'm really hoping this place doesn't get gentrified or shut down anytime soon, as my experience here was very positive.

The schnitzel was excellent, but I was disappointed with the spatzle noodles. They were overcooked, mushy, and not served hot. I had high hopes for my meal since it was my first visit. In the future, I'll choose Duna in Ottawa for my German food cravings.

Soups are always delicious and today the smoked meat on rye was up there as well.

This is the best schnitzel I've ever tasted—even better than what I've had in Germany. The Black Forest Cake here is also exceptional, surpassing the one I enjoyed in the actual Black Forest.
