Syphay - Edmonton

I was recommended the lunch special Gang Dang, so that 's what I tried. It was 5 spring rolls, cup of rice as well as cup of curry. Had the spring rolls fresh out of the fryer with sweet chili. Just wish it had a little more filling. I ordered the lunch special Thai spicy and it was spicy, but I wish it was a little bit more for my tastes. Curry was very good though and would recommend.

Top notch Lao food. They accommodated to my tofu laarb substitution, soul ful of bursting flavors. They were super busy we still received great service. Tom muk hoong (papaya salad) was on point! ? ? Grateful my brother took me here today, I def got my Lao food fix. My mouth is still watering. Kop Jai

Been there many times. I have to say the dine in experience is better than the take out food. The take out food seems like it's been out of the freezer and reheated at burning hot temperatures.

We love Syphay, we usually go to the downtown location, but opted for the south side.The food was amazing as always, we really enjoyed it.The service was adequate at best. It took 15 minutes for anyone to take our drink order, and then our server had an attitude the whole time and missed several requests. Usually syphay has much better service, so I hope this was a one off.

This was our first visit to Syphay Restaurant in Edmonton. We ordered vegetable spring rolls to start, then Pad Thai with chicken, Gang Keauy(green curry) with chicken, and Pineapple Fried Rice. With 3 main dishes split between four of us adults, we still had some leftovers. The food was very good, and we expected nothing less from what we heard about this restaurant. Our server that we had could have stepped it up a notch thoug. She did check on us once and refilled my wife's water once, but then was absent and never made contact with us again. Even after we had been finished for quite some time, she never returned. If it were not for our mediocre service, I would have given Syphay a 5 out of 5. We will return again, and hopefully, our experience will be better
