Bidrage med feedbackMy husband and I had lunch here with our daughter and grandson. It was quiet, not a lot of customers, but we were seated quickly and our food came out quick too. Daughter had the spicy beef pho, my husband and I had #41 Vietnamese vermicelli, all were very good, spring rolls were great, the food was hot, and the servings were large, my grandson was given shrimps which were very good too. This was well priced , and we will return.
We tried this place for the first time. We're not greeted when coming in the resteraunt. Didn't know if we were to sit are selves.. Server seemed like he didn't want to be there and had a hard time understanding us. We order some Pho bowls and it tasted like boiling water with some noodles and a bit of beef thrown in. No flavor but bowls were a good size. They didn't skimp on the hot water.. speaker was blown so the speaker playing music was crackling. The place wasn't very clean and the washrooms were not clean. Overall just a poor first impression. Tips: hire someone that has a personality and can communicate with the customers. Clean your the washrooms and floors better. Fix your seats their falling apart. Taste your broth maybe even go check out some other places in edmonton. Soup should have some flavor. Their is a reason the place was dead over lunch. With all the options for Pho I won't be going back to this place ever again.
This restaurant is hidden in the middle of the old Heritage Shopping site on 111 Street and 23 Ave. It is not visible from the street. It is open until 10:00 p.m. and serves standard Vietnamese food - rice bowls, vermicelli bowls, etc. The food is flavourful and filling. Several kinds of beer are available. This was my second visit and I would go back again.
I visited spring roll kitchen while working in the area because of a recommendation from a college. There are two entrances, I came in the side entrance and was a little confused because there is just seating and it's hard to see the front counter. So I walked threw to the counter and then was seated. To start I order the green onion cakes that said two pieces but when it arrived it was huge! Then I just looked at the pictures in the menu and went with the number 42 that was good it had noodles, shrimp, pork and greens it was good multiple flavors that were very interesting. I liked that they only gave you chop sticks and I don't even know if they had forks no one was using them that I saw. The ladies working seemed nice but the service wasn't stellar but I would go again.
I've had the vermicelli bowls twice now, and they are so so good! Lots of food, hearty but not greasy. I love this bowl! I would recommend adding the hoisin sauce at the table and the dipping sauce they provide right to the bowl. My husband got the ginger beef and we were not impressed. It was bland. Service was alright.
