Ricky's All Day Grill - Edmonton

I always love dining at Ricky's, no matter the time of day. They offer a wide variety of delicious options to cater to any craving. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, and the prices are quite reasonable.

My family of 4 adults, 3 children here in the working day morning dinated; the service was about to say slowly, the least, there was never a offer of a coffee refill, a water refill or even water for the children. The food came after 40...min of waiting with warm ash-browns hardly grilled and not even with our meals. We were never asked for anything about the delivery of our meals until we end up paying for our bill. My son and my family wanted to come to Calgary after this meal, and unfortunately because of the lack of timely service and bad food, this is not a place we will consider again.

An age group I know a few members regularly to Ricky's All Day Grill for monthly get-together (pre-pandemic). My wife and I decided to go there to see how the food was. Nancy had the Weiner Schnitzel with “Neptune...sauce” and I decided to taste her wine roasted beef short ribs. The Schnitzel was “okay” but the sauce I think should be Hollandaise was unpleasantly sweet without real balance and character. At least the shrimps were not overcooked. The cabbage was unnoticed. In everything, edible, but not something we would ever try again. Right with the short rib shell. The boneless beef was tender, but had little or no rich taste, which originates from braided short ribs. It tasted like a piece of generic beef that was stuffed in a sauce by someone who is blind after a recipe for it, but has never really tasted how it should taste! A background of uncooked wine and a little salty with little balance and taste depth. Again, edible, but not something I would ever order again.

One of the worst meals we had. Do not order the Weber Snitzel (sp) It was unusable. Meat terrible red cabbage terrible, frozen potatoes terrible. We should know better. Will not make the mistake of coming back here. Also, waitress was rude.

The service is often slow. The breakfast I had is good. Lunch is another story. I had fish and chips. The fishbatter was soaked in fat and limp when you picked him up. The fish was just on the edge... because he was boiled under. Told waitress and her discounted price. One time, Hamburgers and the Pommes were well overcooked. As I say Hit and Miss. Think there will only be a mistake from now on. Too many other restaurants in this area.
