Top notch sushi every time i come here! Consistently amazing food plus super friendly staff makes it easily one of my favourite places to have a night out. Shaira was a real delight, great service!

Highly recommended!!!? Japanese food is one of our favourites. We’ve been to a lot of the Japanese restaurants here in Edmonton and I can say that Maki Maki is incomparable to any of them with regard to servings, (we ended up asking for to go boxes because we didn’t realize servings are that huge). The presentation was good and most importantly, everything tasted great. Yum! Ambience is really cool. I love the decor and the music and the vibe, it really set the mood. Most of the customers we spoke to were pleased too. Staff was very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly, they were very eager to serve in any way they can. Parking was spacious. You couldn’t ask for more. Thanks, Maki Maki!

Maki Maki is my fiancé and I favourite sushi restaurant and bar! The new owner is an amazing man that treated us very well. Staff is wonderful of course food is absolutely delicious!

I'm not given to writing negative reviews, but we've just had the WORST sushi we've ever had in our lives. I paid over $80 for the order (four maki rolls) but we dumped more than half of it in the garbage as it was utterly inedible. The rolls were haphazardly made and a nauseating combination of too sweet and too vinegary; the fish and vegetables were skimpy and obviously not fresh; everything had a mushy, slimy quality to it that felt unpleasant in the mouth. Disgusting and absolutely terrible. Right now we're hoping we're not going to get sick from our dinner. Bottom line: if you're looking for good sushi in Edmonton, Maki Maki is definitely NOT the place. Avoid at all costs.UPDATE: We lost. We're currently both uncomfortable with stomachaches and cramping.

I have been coming here for over 12 years and I have had my birthday celebrations here too because of the awesome food, excellent hospitality, quick service and friendly staff. They have renovated their restaurant to keep it fresh and beautiful too. They have great photo backgrounds to take with friends and a private room for gatherings too. They are open late so it's perfect for post shows at the northern Jubilee too or after any concert or game. The staff make you feel like family and remember your order and what you like. There have a delicious variety of Vietnamese and Japanese food. The pho and sushi rolls with sashimi are a few of my favorite. I definitely recommend to come here and go plan your next special occasion here.
