Kerala - Edmonton

I visited Kerala from Southgate and was pleasantly surprised to find this location on the south side. My friend noticed it as we passed by and we decided to stop for a late dinner. We were delighted with everything we ordered, especially the Filte special which had beautiful and varied ingredients and was presented beautifully. It was my first time trying dahi vada and it did not disappoint! The young man who served us was friendly and helpful. We apologize for staying past closing time, but they graciously allowed us to take our time. We will definitely be back, and next time, we'll come earlier. Thank you again for a great experience!

It may be slightly more expensive than typical fast food options, but the quality and taste make it well worth it. It's a great place to dine and leave feeling satisfied without breaking the bank.

This charming restaurant located in a strip mall across from Southgate on 51 Avenue is a hidden gem. The menu offers a unique and distinctive style that sets it apart from the many other Indian restaurants in Edmonton. Be sure to try the masala dosa or Sri Lankan kothu paratha - both are delicious options. While they do not have a liquor license, the food more than makes up for it.

It's not easy to find good, local South Indian cuisine. kerala gives them what they would have if their best friend were a great South Indian cook and invited them to dinner. that is, it is not standardized for large-format production, but with. much care and love done to detail. the seasoned are perfect. the staff in kerala was very friendly and helpful. the device is simple, but clean and bright--not a place for the maharaja honeymoon dinner, but a simple place to eat a good bite. my whole family loved it (including the baby) and we will be back.
