Kathir Food Experience - Edmonton

Service was TERRIBLE! We had a party of 8. Had to wait 15 mins just to get drinks and that was only because I had to say something. 2 girls were working and chatting at the register. They do not serve alcohol because the liquor license is expired. Food was not that great. When small businesses are not that busy and needing customers. Customer service should be top priority.

Food is quite delicious here and so is filter coffee. Tried the weekend buffet it was really yummy (biryani, chicken curry, prawns dosa etc. great people we have been here several times.

Although this establishment may appear modest at first glance, the cleanliness of the tables, plates, and utensils stood out to me. My husband and I decided to try the vegetable masala dosa with paneer and the garlic masala dosa. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, and the sambar was the best we've ever had in the city. The service was quick, efficient, and attentive. The pricing was also quite reasonable. We will certainly return in the future! I particularly appreciate South Indian restaurants for their wide range of vegetarian options.

The interior may be simple, but the food is fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I highly recommend trying the mutton biriyani - even if you usually don't enjoy it. Kathir's biriyani is truly exceptional.
