Il Pasticcio - Edmonton

I have been coming to Il Pasticcio for several years, Nello and his staff are always truly a delight. The food is rock solid, I love the patio on a summer afternoon/evening. Over the years I have truly enjoyed it. I came last night with a friend for dinner and, once again the service was excellent and the food was wonderful. I had the salciccia appetizer and a few glasses of the house red, Citra. So pleasant sitting on the patio. I also suggest the stuffed red pepper, I always enjoy that dish. And the Jumbo Tiger Prawns are also fabulous. Thank you Hello for many great afternoons and evenings with friends.

Il Pasticcio is long time local Italian restaurant with fantastic Italian food! Their patio is one of the nicest in the City with beautiful flowers, various herbs, and overlooks one of the nicest places in the river valley. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that they have special prices on their Pastas on Tuesdays. and so now one can enjoy some excellent food with a deal!

I eat here as often as I can, the mussels are superb, the bruschetta fresh and perfectly seasoned,the pasta is aldente and piping hot when served, which I have with a perfectly simple arugula salad topped with a shaving of quality parmigiano heavenly

Business mtg with out of town associate. Food was delicious. Server didn't rush us but it was as a Wednesday!

We had the chance to dine here again over the weekend. This has always been a favourite restaurant of my husbands. And we've always had good service and good food. but this weekends experience will be our last. Our waitress, although was amazing, she was running her butt off just trying to get to all her tables. She mentioned 2 people didn't show up to work, and meanwhile the owner is just sitting/ standing around watching everyone else work. Our drinks took so long to reach our table that the men in our party started ordering 2-3 drinks at a time just to have. Meanwhile, us ladies ordered wine after some cocktails. The bottle arrived at the empty table beside us. our waitress finally brought it over with glasses 15 minutes later. Our appetizers arrived within a decent amount of time. But the empty plates and bowls sat on the table for 20 minutes. The owner walking by several times and couldn't lend a helping hand to clear them. Food- portions are big, but this time they were either too bland or too salty. No one finished their meals, nor did they want to take it home.Although we did enjoy the evening, and really did like our waitress, (It wasn't her fault she was slammed) we will not return .We decided against dessert just because of the long wait times for our server.
