Gyu-kaku Japanese Bbq - Edmonton

Super fun and delicious. Servers were kind and helped us decide what to order. Every dish was a winner.Getting drinks was pretty slow which is always annoying but that's the only bad thing I can say!

Second visit there and the first was ok but it was dead, place was about half full for our second visit. Worst hostess I 've ever come across. Stood there waiting and wasn 't even acknowledged or like a hey be right with you but had time to check their personal phone and take phone calls at the desk there. Finally acknowledged after standing there for 15 minutes. Was told it would be another 15 minutes. In that time 4 other groups of people were sat before us that came in after us, some had reservations I 'm sure but not all. The 15 minutes came and we observed not a single table in our line of sight had been served or checked on/waited on. So go there if you love to be ignored and never sat down and love terrible service.

We went on a busy holiday evening and paid 40$ each for a 3 person meal (120 total). The food was very delicious but the staff was so overworked they would not even stop to listen when we asked for something.We waited 3 hours for all of our drinks and food to arrive after asking about it multiple times. When we asked for a missing drink they told us I don 't have time to make it right now, I 'll bring it later .I understand that it was busy, but the fact that they completely forgot half of our order, brushed us off and weren 't happy to help really made the pricy meal not worth the wait and money. I would recommend going to different locations or when they 're not busy.

So disappointed. went here hoping for an awesome dinner, got seated right away. there was maybe 4 tables occupied, yet we never got served. after initially being seated, no one approached our table, no one so much as looked in our direction. after sitting there for 20 minutes we walked out and had to get fast food in order to make our event.

What a delight this restaurant is! We were visiting from out of town, but the staff made it feel like we were regulars. The manager was wonderful with our kids and ensured that this spot will be a must go for us for every future trip!
